Learn Skateboarding Tricks – Learning to skateboarding is both a fun and sometimes frustrating experience. But learning properly how to learn tricks can make skateboarding a lot easier.

When I first started learning to skateboard I honestly had so many days where I just felt that I would never be able to learn anything. I had been skateboarding for about a month and I couldn’t even properly ollie. I hate giving up on anything and I was so determined to learn skateboarding tricks. I kept thinking there had to be a better way to approach it. I thought if I could just leran the right foot positions, my skateboarding would improve so much quicker.

Everytime I asked someone to help me it always ended with them just telling me to keep praticing. I kept getting frustrated so I decided to have a look around to see what I could find online. I started looking onlineand found some half decent videos, but it was all to quick, I wasn’t able to learn from these videos.

After a couple of days I stumbled across a really interesting skateboard guide. I decided to Download Secrets of Skateboarding. At first I thought that the guide probably would help me a little bit, but it wouldn’t really push my skateboarding to a new level. I’m so glad I was wrong. The guide has been the main reason my skateboarding has improved so much. I am so confident skateboarding now, If someonehad said that I would be learning 360 flips in a matter of months I probably would have laughed at them. I can now kickflip, heelflip and land loads of other cool tricks.

Whenever I’m at the skate park I always get asked how I have learnt so much so quickly and I always recommend they check out Secrets of Skateboarding. I also like the fact that it came with advice on buying a skateboard, how to build ramps and loads of other really helpful information.

A Brief History About Skateboarding

There are so many skateboarders today it is crazy recent study shows that there are over 12 million people world wide that skateboard and a third of those people are under the age of 18. That is one good sport and a lot of people must love something about the sport of skateboarding.

Skateboarding is just a sport to some but to the people that actually love the sport it is a lifestyle. It was first made and rode in the 1950s and was just a piece of wood with wheels. Now the modern skateboard that we are using is made from all kinds of different things like fiberglass and the wheels are not just wheels anymore they are made from polyurethane and other materials. So if you though that skateboards were still being made like they were back then you need to go look at what is being made now.

Back when they were using those kinds of skateboards all the surfers in California would take the wheels off the roller skates and put them on a skateboard deck and make themselves skateboards to ride down the hills in California. That is far from how they are made today even though they first made skateboards that early and with some roller skate wheels.

Back then when they were making those types of skateboards they looked like surfboards because they were long and would turn so quick. Today skateboards are made from more durable materials and can be used for awhile. They sold so many skateboards in that time when they first came out that they had to make or come up with something new because everyone already had the first they wanted to see what the new decks would look like. The new types of wheels would come out before any new type of skateboard would.

Every day people will use a skateboard as a mode of transportation and people love to skateboard. It is something that has consumed the world and the world’s people seem to like what skateboarding has to offer so it does appear that it is staying and getting better.

Most of people see skateboarding as just another sport and you cannot do the sport in most public places other then skate parks these days. It is illegal in most places to skate where they have public property. The real skateboarders see skateboarding as a lifestyle and like to live like it is every day. They will wear all skateboarding brand clothes and will wear skate shoes. You can spot a skateboarder from just the type of clothing that they will be wearing.

Skateboarding if you look back when it started evolved from surfing so if you are trying to blame the cause of a great discovery on the hippies you are wrong. Skateboarding evolved from surfing and it started and now today the skateboarding industry is booming. People that are in with the sport already will continue to do the sport forever because it will become part of their every day activities and to most people will be their lifestyle. So if you are a person that wants to get started in skateboarding then you need to go buy a skateboard and try it out.

Four Skateboarding Tricks And Tips To Add To Your Repertoire

In case you are bored stiff with the ordinary jumps, turns, and tricks that belong to the amateur stage, and you think that you’re prepared to put your skills to the test, here are 4 skateboarding tricks and tips and precisely how to do them – so you can add them to your collection:

Skate boarding Trick #1 – Bomb Drop This is a well-known skate boarding trick that is frequently performed by skateboarders although they do find a way in to pro contests as well. Simply, the bomb drop can be an alternative to an ollie when tackling a drop or a flight of stairs. With a bomb drop, what you do is jumping with the board on your hands first then getting it to your feet whilst you’re in mid-air.

Of course, this may not be the safest skateboarding trick for you to practice so start with a place which hasn’t too much height. Secondly, put on the required protective gear. Thirdly, practice your hand and feet coordination skills; you’re usually given a split second for you to get your board from your hands and to your feet.

Skate boarding Trick #2 – Boneless One

This particular one has been around for years already and at present it has quite a few variations already. With this skate boarding trick, you start by taking the skate board away from your feet just as you get off it as well. Afterwards, you jump with just one foot then ending by returning the skateboard to it’s original position (under your feet) when you make a perfect landing.

Although it seems difficult, this particular skateboarding trick isn’t that difficult to accomplish as long as you are prepared to practice it frequently. The ease of performing this skate boarding trick could have, in fact, contributed to its fading appeal to skateboarders, especially those that belong to the younger generations. Having said that, having an old skate boarding trick like this under your belt is always handy to carry around because you’ll never know when you might need to incorporate it as part of your exhibition!

Skateboarding Trick #3 – Coffin Even though phrase used for this trick does sound a little frightening, it is once again an easy trick to be able to perform although it is definitely a step or two higher than the basic curves and turns which you have learned while you were practicing at the rookie level.

To begin with, increase your speed while skateboarding. Next, place your body on the skateboard’s front area. Thirdly, have a seat at the center of your skateboard by bending your knees and taking hold of your skateboard’s sides. Use both of your hands of course. Finally, lean back then lie flat on your skateboard as if you were on a coffin. Voila! Skateboarding trick accomplished!

Skateboarding Trick #4 – The Firecracker Light the pavement up with this entertaining skate boarding trick! Just like setting up and getting ready for fireworks, however, you need careful preparation and precision whenever executing this particular trick. This fire cracking skate boarding trick involves a flight of stairs and you heading downhill once more. As you go down, you can increase your speed by deliberately letting the end of your skateboard slap against every step. This slap is of course equivalent to the cracking sound of firecrackers. It will not work effectively however if you cannot ensure that the sounds mimic the ongoing burst of fire from firecrackers. Consistency and constancy, therefore, are the key components to getting this trick right.

There are of course a lot more skateboarding tricks for you to learn however for now, begin with these four. Learn these before skateboarding to the next level!

Learn How to do Skateboard Tricks

Let us see the history of skateboarding before we go into learning how to skateboard tricks. Skateboarding tricks was first invented in the year 1950. It was when all the California surfers had the idea of trying to surf the streets. It is really not known who first made the skateboard but it seemed that many people had come across with the same idea of making the skateboard. At that time though many people had invented the skateboard nothing creative was invented at that time.

Initially skateboards were made with wooden boxes or boards with the roller wheels below the skates. At the initial stages many who tried working on the skates just kept falling down but still people liked to go skating. The boxes were soon turned into planks. Companies then started creating boards which were layers of pressed wood. This is what is being used these days. Once the boards were made skating and learn how to do skateboard tricks became an interesting sport for everyone. For video lessons on skateboarding visit LearnHowToSkateboard.net

During 1963, skateboarding and learn how to do skateboard tricks became very much popular and there were companies like Jake’s, Hobie and Makaha which started becoming competitors. These days skateboarding were either freestyle or downhill slalom. Companies like Torger Johnson, Woody Woodward and Danny Berer were some of the well known skateboarders. But the types of skateboarding and the skateboarding tricks that they did were different from these days. Then learn how to do skateboard tricks? They adopted the freestyle skateboarding which was more like dancing ballet or similar ice skating with skateboarding.

In the year 1965, the popularity of skateboarding suddenly crashed. Many people assumed that skateboarding and learn how to do skateboard tricks was a fad which had died out. The skateboarding had closed and people started cresting their own skateboards. People still skated though the skateboarding parts were hard to find and the boards were made at home. They used clay wheels for the skateboards which were hard and also extremely dangerous to skate with. In 1972 Frank Nasworthy invented the urethane wheels for the skateboards which are similar to those that are used these days. He had started the company named Cadillac Wheels and this new invention created more interest amongst skateboarders and amongst the youth.

In the year 1975 during the spring season there was a great evolution that helped to boost the skateboarding sport of today. In California in Del Mar, there was a freestyle and slalom contest held at the Ocean Festival. It was that day that the Zephyr team showed to the world what skateboarding really is, which created a great awareness amongst the people for this great sport. They were able to show to the world how interesting skateboarding and the skateboarding tricks are by their low and smooth movement and from that day onwards it became a great sport rather than a hobby. Though the Zephyr team had many members it was the Tony Alva, Jay Adams and Stacy Peralta that became very famous.

In the year 1978 it was Alan Gelfand who was nicked named as Ollie invented a maneuver which helped to know how to do skateboard tricks to gain another revolutionary jump.

Learning Skateboarding Tricks

There are many levels of skateboarding tricks you can try. Some of them you will master in a short span of time. Others are going to take more time and dedication. However, here are some tips to help you learn them and have fun at the same time. You definitely need to be motivated. Learn from your mistakes so that you can do better. If you are too hard on yourself you won’t be able to learn like you should.

Remember that the experts have plenty of experience with such tricks. Therefore it is reasonable for them to make it look easy. Yet if you commit to working on it a bit each day you too can become very good at it. Then others will be envious as they want you perform certain skateboarding tricks. Part of the process though is to make sure you have the right equipment. You may not realize it but the type of skateboard trunk and wheels that you are using to perform the tricks on can make a huge difference.

The particular surface that you are using to perform the skateboarding trick on can be a factor too. Depending on the trick, you may just need a flat surface. Others can only really be done on asphalt while others require a smooth surface. If your trick requires a ramp, the particular angle of it can also determine how successful you are. Make sure you take such variables into consideration so that your efforts to learn won’t be in vain.

A common mistake when it comes to learning skateboarding tricks is to try too many at once. When you go this route it will take you longer to learn them. Instead you should focus on learning only one or two of them at a time. Then you can add more to your learning and skill practice those that you have mastered. This process is also going to help you see the improvements faster too. When you feel that you are making progress you will be more likely to stick to it.

From the very start though you need to make sure you learn the trick correctly. If you pick up bad habits in regards to your form from the start you will have a harder time figuring out the right moves to make. Watch videos at home on DVD’s and on the internet. Watch other people at skate parks as well as your friends. It is also a good idea to have someone video you as you try to perform the various tricks. Reviewing your own tapes can help you to identify where you need to make changes.

Above all though you need to make sure you are following safety guidelines when you perform tricks. There is a greater risk of falling when you are learning new ones. Make sure you have on a helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads. That way your fall will mostly be superficial in nature. Should you end up with a serious injury it is only going to delay you mastering particular skateboarding tricks!

It can be a challenge to learn new skateboarding tricks but it can also be fun. If you have friends that also skate you can learn a great deal from each other. Don’t let the process of learning tricks be intimidating though. Find those that are basic to begin with and then work up to the more complicated ones. Always remember that skateboarding should be fun though. Don’t pressure yourself to learn moves you really aren’t ready for yet. By the same token though don’t be hesitant to try out something new.

What Are Some Basic Skateboarding Tricks To Try?

Learning a variety of tricks you can perform on your skateboard is fun. It can also be a challenge though. There are some basic tricks you will want to familiarize yourself with first. That will boost your confidence level and then you can move on to some more advanced ones. Make sure you follow the directions too when you learn new skateboarding tricks. That way you can accomplish them without getting hurt.

The ollie is one of the most common skateboarding tricks out there. It is also one that you should be able to master in a short period of time. You can do this with one foot either at the tail or at the middle. Most people will tell you that it is easier to learn though with a foot at the back. You want to build up pressure with your front foot and then jump as high as you can with the back foot. The goal is to get it as high in the air as you can.

Once you have learned the ollie you can use some of that information to perform what is known as the kickflip. You want your back foot on the tail and the front one in the middle but slightly forward and to the left side. With a quick movement you want to pop the tail and move your front foot up. As the board is coming back down you want to jump as high as you can. You want to work on landing with both feet back on the board at the same time.

A kickturn is a cool trick and it is really much easier than it looks when someone performs it. The goal is to balance on the back wheels of the skateboard. At the same time you are going to swing the front of the skateboard so it will point in a new direction. The more you practice this trick the faster you will become at the movement. The best way to learn is to practice from a still position. Then you will want to learn how to kickturn as you are moving as well.

You will find that there is quite a combination of different moves out there you can try. Many of them can be joined together to create your own moves and tricks. You will find that each skater has their own sense of style. That is what you should be aiming for. While you are mastering these basic tricks, you also want to focus on what feels comfortable for you. If a variation is safe and it feels better to you then go with it.

Don’t force yourself to complete any tricks you aren’t ready to perform either. Sometimes peer pressure can get the best of someone when it comes to skateboarding. If you decide to register to take part in various trick competitions, make sure you sign up at the right level for your skills. You need to focus on having a good time and keeping yourself safe above all else.

You can watch other people performing basic skateboarding tricks. Then you can try to copy them on your own. If you are struggling see if you can get someone to help you. They can show you what you are doing wrong and then can even video tape your movements for you to see for yourself. You can also watch videos on the computer that will show you each action in slow motion. Take some initiative to try these different tricks and you will find you love spending time on your skateboard even more than you do right now.
