Beginners Guide to Skateboarding
If you’re just starting, you need a beginners guide to skateboarding that will help you quickly get started with skateboarding. Beginners ask many questions such as what is the best beginners skateboard, what are the beginner skateboarding shoes, where should beginner skateboarders skate, what tricks should beginner skateboarders attempt to do, and so on.
I’m going to answer some of the most basic beginner skateboarder questions. Keep in mind that there’s a lot to skateboarding that may not be covered on this page, but you can always look around for additional helpful information that will excel your skateboarding skills.
As a beginner skateboarder, you have a choice to either buy a complete skateboard or build a skateboard from scratch. Whatever your option is (I won’t cover either one in this article), make sure you’re happy with your skateboard. Try to avoid buying crappy no brand Walmart skateboards because they tend to break quickly and you won’t enjoy riding them. Get yourself a quality brand name skateboard with some integrity as your first one.
Don’t listen to people who say you have to start off with a crappy board and advance to better boards as you advance your riding skills. Start off with a good board and you’ll learn how to skateboard a lot faster.
Obviously, you don’t want to skateboard in your dress shoes or slippers. Get yourself good skateboarding shoes as well as a helmet, kneepads, and gloves.
